Project Summary
A Project Management Extranet for Wipro Technologies, a global IT and technology services division of Wipro Limited. (NYSE:WIT). The extranet is developed to be a personalized project management and monitoring site for Wipro's large customers, for every project in partnership with Wipro.

What We Did
Strategic consulting, contextual enquiry, concept development, online branding, information architecture, interface design, backend development and production. Our team of user experience lead and information architect collaborated with Wipro's project management and marketing team to understand project management and reporting needs of their large customers. Subsequently we identified key objectives of the extranet and how the extranet would combine project management activities into a single site. Our user experience lead and information architects observed the existing project management and reporting methods meticulously and worked on adapting them to work better online. Having grasped the requirements and tools involved, our team moved ahead to develop the solution along with our design, production and backend team. The system being critical with a new approach to project management, our team conducted a expert audit of the systems usability before its launch.

The Project Management Extranet provides Wipro's large customers with a single point project management and monitoring tool. It enables customers to access complete project information like specifications, methodologies, quality processes, milestones, deliverables and day-to-day activities along with a bird's eye view of all the modules involved in the project. In addition the extranet has tools to ensure flexibility and notifications required in the project management process. This includes change requests, a discussion forum for collaboration and online discussions between Wipro and client project teams, and an e-mail reminder about key events or milestones and deliverables of each project. The Project Management Extranet has helped Wipro offer its clients complete transparency and real-time control of an entire project life-cycle. In short the extranet has facilitated in a close-knit relationship between Wipro and its large clients. The extranet also has a built-in content management system to place content at strategic positions on the site to help Wipro cross-sell and up-sell to its already large customer base, and to secure its foothold in these valuable accounts.
