MindTree wins Hellen Keller Award for promotion of the Differently-abled
MindTree Consulting became the youngest company ever to receive
the Helen Keller Corporate Award, which is instituted by Shell and
India’s Institute for promotion of employment for differently abled
persons. The award was given primarily as a result of the company’s
work with the Spastic Society in Bangalore.
Ashok Soota, MindTree’s Chairman and CEO, received the award on
behalf of the organization. “We are extremely excited and humbled
to accept this award. When we built the business plan for the company
in December 1998, we made social responsibility a part of our values
and also built it into our vision. We felt that strongly about it.
Social responsibility will continue to remain an integral part of
MindTree’s foundation going forward.”
