IDG’s Computerworld Selects MindTree Consulting to Annual List
of Best Places to Work in Technology
MindTree Consulting Pvt. Ltd. announced today that it was selected
as one of the best places to work in information technology (IT)
by IDG’s Computerworld, the newspaper for IT leaders. MindTree Consulting
is an international IT consulting company that delivers affordable
business and technology solutions through global software development.
The company is co-headquartered in Somerset, N.J. and Bangalore,
India.
The Best Places to Work list, published in the May 6th issue and
online at www.computerworld.com/bestplaces2002,
is an annual ranking of the best work environments in the U.S. for
IT workers. To compile the list, Computerworld measured companies
in several categories including diversity, training, career development,
benefits, hot projects, retention and other criteria prospective
IT employees find most compelling. In 2002, the feature was expanded
for the first time to include a unique view of companies from across
the world.
“As a company in just our third year, we are deeply honored to
be recognized by Computerworld as one of the top 100 IT employers
in the U.S.,” said Ashok Soota, MindTree’s chairman and managing
director. “At MindTree we share an exciting ambition: to build a
globally unified culture where employees across continents and skill
sets have a total stake in creating advanced technology for some
of the world’s leading companies. We think this award reflects that
commitment.”
To connect more than 500 employees around the world who work hand-in-hand
on client projects, MindTree has invested significantly in advanced
collaboration technology. The company is also spearheading comprehensive
knowledge-management, project-management and cultural training initiatives.
The result is what MindTree calls a “OneShore” global delivery model
that fuses people, processes and systems into a single company vision—and
a single customer experience.
“The companies selected to our Best Places to Work rankings really
understand that it takes more than salary increases to keep technology
workers satisfied, even in a slowly recovering economy,” noted Maryfran
Johnson, editor in chief of Computerworld. “These organizations
offer a chance to pitch in on challenging, rewarding projects. They
create opportunities for career advancement. They provide a balanced
set of benefits. In short, the best employers build a positive environment
that keeps their best IT employees.”
